Here’s again an unprocessed JPEG from the raw file. This time from the top of Mount John at Lake Tekapo. A simple five minute exposure with my 17mm lens.

A spring sunset taken September 2011

Something to warm you up after the cold Whitby weather on the Saturday.

Here’s a sunset taken from Paraparaumu beach New Zealand. It’s a straight jpeg conversion from the RAW file hence the wonky horizon and not quite sorted highlights and shadows.

Well, what can I say. The weather was quite poor on the Saturday but can I just say how wonderfully surprised I was by how many of you turned up for what is a great event.

I din’t take many pictures though but did try out my new Hoya NDX-400 ND filter. It’s just about a 9-stop and produces some tremendously long exposure images.

John and Joe were missing company from this weekend but I did have the wonderful company of another photographer, Cat. She does have some pics and has given me a link.

Here’s a pic taken with the NDX-400.
