Johnny Bungalow

28 02 2012

My friends Russ and Jane have set up a new blog and website called Johnny Bungalow.

They are all about vintage and antique textiles. We have stock of rare and everyday fabrics from all over the world.  Buy as little as half a metre of for household styling and craft projects. Also coming in 2012 is our FREE pattern library.

You can find there blog here.

If you’re looking for something unique and interesting, it’s definitely worth a look.

Look familiar?

Here’s a photo I took on Mount Vic, Wellington back in September 2011. If it does look familiar then it could well do. Send me a message if you think you know which film it’s from!

Website Developments

16 02 2012

Ugh, well I know I’ve been working on my website for the last I don’t know HOW many years and I still feel it’s not finished, despite that fact that I keep putting new images on there, I’ve decided I need to re-write it!!!!!

Yes, I know.

It’s just that I’ve been messing around with iPad and iPhone HTML hooks and to achieve what I would like to achieve with these devices necessitates are rewrite.

It’s not all downhill. I’m going to utilise as much from the existing site as I can and don’t think much visually from a desktop browser view point will change. I think it’s going to be more of a background, mechanical change.

Having said that, I’ve now forked the existing site and started coding again.

Mins’t, website should be a continuously evolving and morphing medium. Well, I think so anyway.

Photo tours

14 02 2012

Well it’s been a while but I’ve been so busy a uni writing my dissertation but I’m SO pleased so say I got a first on this module, yeah!!!

This year so far sees two major photo tours as well as the usual Whitby Goth weekends.

I’m also getting to achieve two of of photo dreams…

Firstly, I’m off to Finland at the end of March for a week, hopefully, fingers crossed, to see the northern lights. Along with snow mobile, husky dog sledging and LOT’s of snow, see an amazing natural phenomenon.

Secondly, Canada is now a cert. A four week back pack from East to West taking in amongst other sights, Toronto, Niagara, polar bears, the rocky mountains, Vancouver, Victoria an more. This is one country I’ve wanted to visit for over twenty years!

A fun filled, action packed year so far.

Keep tuned.
