New Plymouth

12 06 2016

Just found this post in my drafts folder. Oops. So I’ll post it now.

This was a few years ago now. After a few days in the sea front town of New Plymouth with the Taranaki volcano dominating the background I finally managed to get one or two of the elusive beast.

Although the skies were clear blue about our heads there always seemed to be a small clump conveniently perched right about the peak. The weather provided a few breaks in the clouds but it didn’t let up much.

Along the walk on the sea front I came across an interesting boulder that to me had a natural formation that I thought resembled the South Island. At the other end of the walk was this magnificent bridge, the ‘Te Rewa Rewa Bridge’

Back to Wellie on Wednesday for a couple of days before departure again.

More photo’s after the break!

Steve
